We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our Emissions Services team at Avk-Seg. This role is responsible for managing the entire logistics operation, focusing on the transport and handling of high-value equipment essential for emissions control projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate Transport: Manage the booking and scheduling of transport for high-value emissions control equipment, ensuring timely and secure delivery across the UK and Europe.
- Work with 3PLs: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality for transport and warehousing needs.
- Manage EU import/export: Coordinate the movement of goods in and out of the EU across multiple entities.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of high-value tools, equipment, and parts, ensuring accurate inventory control and availability for emissions reduction projects.
- Warehouse Procurement: Identify and secure warehouse space, ensuring it meets project requirements for storage and handling of emissions control technology.
- Sustainability and Emissions Reduction: Support Avk-Seg's commitment to reducing emissions by ensuring efficient logistics operations that minimise waste, optimise transport routes, and contribute to the overall sustainability of projects.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all logistics processes are compliant with industry regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience). We offer a competitive benefits package, including private health insurance, performance bonus, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, birthday off, pension plan, and hybrid working/flexible working arrangements.
Requirements:- Proven experience in logistics management, ideally within a technical or construction-related field, with knowledge of EU import/export.
- Proven experience managing high-value equipment and working with third-party logistics providers.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in managing inventory and coordinating transport.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical skills for tracking and reporting.
- A proactive approach to improving logistics processes, with a focus on sustainability and emissions reduction.
- A full, valid driving licence and the ability to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
