As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the collection of information, consent, samples, and test results to enable genomic counselling and testing for patients with rare diseases and their family members.

The Genomic Associate will work within clinical genetics under the guidance and supervision of Genetic Counsellors and Clinical Geneticists, adhering to departmental Standard Operating Procedures and current professional standards.

Key responsibilities include reviewing the clinical genetics database, contacting the Southwest Genomics laboratory hub to collate data needed for the National Inherited Cancer Predisposition Register (NICPR), and supporting the current Genomic Associate team in managing their workload.

Additionally, you will make telephone contact with patients referred to our service to gather specific information requested by Clinicians prior to or after a Genetics clinic appointment.
