About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Analyst to join our Magnetic Engineering team at the UK Atomic Energy Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of next-generation Superconducting Magnet systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate design concepts using established tools and develop new evaluation methods.
  • Oversee the evaluation work of others and manage processes for engineering evaluation.
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to the advancement of Magnet Systems and related temperature maintenance systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform work on Magnet or Cryogenic systems design, advocating for proper processes and tools.
  • Manage small projects, function as a technical expert, and coordinate teams to develop solutions for fusion and experimental devices.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in engineering analysis and a good working knowledge of engineering materials and their properties.
  • Experience in structural and thermal engineering, materials, and manufacturing methods.
  • Effective people skills for building positive working relationships.
  • A relevant engineering degree or suitable equivalent.
  • Experience in guiding the delivery of technical design, manufacturing or test work in a subcontract organisation.
