Senior Product Owner Role

Together is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Owner to join our team. As a key member of our Agile Team, you will be responsible for defining Product Backlog Items and prioritizing the Team Backlog to drive business priorities and maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of our features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Vision and Strategy: Communicate and ensure alignment of vision and strategy within the team.
  • Market and Customer Understanding: Understand market, customer, product EOL, product technology, and roadmap to build associated change into the delivery plan.
  • Enabler Identification and Prioritization: Identify, define, and prioritize enablers, including negotiation and agreement with the team, RTEs, and business.
  • Stakeholder Support: Support key stakeholders with provision of new change to drive value based on data, research, and feasibility.
  • Product Roadmap Influence: Actively challenge and influence the Product Roadmap with the Product Manager to ensure delivery of the right solutions at the right time.
  • Product Backlog Ownership: Own and maintain the Product Backlog, ensuring it is well-refined and prioritized for maximum value delivery in line with the train priorities and Product Roadmap.
  • PO Data Ownership: Manage or delegate PO data ownership to the team as appropriate.
  • Sprint Goal Definition: Define sprint goal with input from appropriate team members.
  • Backlog Refinement: Lead backlog refinement sessions by defining user stories representing the needs of the customer/end user.
  • Development Cycle Support: Provide guidance and support during development cycle and resolve delivery constraints.
  • Work Acceptance: Accept completed work, assess, and confirm whether work delivered meets the definition of done.
  • Hard Call Recommendations: Recommend hard calls on MVP and scope to get work done and collaborate with business areas to ensure alignment.
  • Extended Product Team Collaboration: Operate as part of the extended Product team, collaborating with other Product Owners to ensure dependencies and constraints are managed.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with Change Managers to ensure business and end-user impact is considered in delivery of change.
  • Application Support: Support your team and other teams in your train when production release out of hours support is required for releases, including post-implementation verification and end-to-end functional testing in production.
Qualifications
  • Influencing Stakeholders: Ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Financial Services Experience: Experience working within a Financial Services business.
  • Analytical Skills: Has demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Agile Methodologies: Ability to work happily within both 'traditional' /Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
