About Us

St Michael's Fellowship is a leading organisation in the field of social work, dedicated to breaking cycles of disadvantage and creating new opportunities for children. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Services Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing our assessment and support services based at one of our family residential assessment centres. This will involve taking overall responsibility for the centre, including practice, administrative and financial responsibilities. The role will also require effective leadership and management of staff, as well as facilitating and empowering staff contributions to team discussions and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To become the Ofsted Registered Manager of the centre and take overall responsibility for the assessment and support services.
  • To lead and manage the staff team, facilitating and empowering staff contributions to team discussions and decision-making.
  • To take overall responsibility for the centre, including practice, administrative and financial responsibilities.
  • To ensure a high standard of social work practice in the centre and that staff are clear about their responsibilities and duties.
  • To create and maintain a safe learning environment within the service.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced social worker with a passion for delivering high-quality social work services. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to facilitate and empower staff contributions to team discussions and decision-making.
