MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Following a period of remarkable expansion and audience engagement, we are seeking a dynamic and innovative Marketing & Development Officer to elevate Lake District Music as we embark on an ambitious long-term strategy.

ROLE OVERVIEW This pivotal position is central to Lake District Music, collaborating closely with the Operations Director to design and execute a diverse array of creative campaigns aimed at boosting ticket sales, expanding our audience, nurturing young musicians, and enhancing brand visibility.

You will spearhead all our print and digital marketing initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge digital tools to effectively connect with our expanding audience.

In this newly established role, you will also play a vital part in fostering relationships with individual donors.

Established in 1985, Lake District Music boasts a rich history of presenting exceptional classical music throughout Cumbria and has been instrumental in launching the careers of numerous talented young artists, including notable figures such as Nicola Benedetti, Jennifer Pike, and many others.

With an upcoming spring concert series and our 40th anniversary festival on the horizon, this is an exhilarating time to contribute to our organization and a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a close-knit and supportive team.

CANDIDATE PROFILE If you:
  • have a passion for the outdoors and appreciate stunning natural scenery
  • are a proactive individual with diverse skills in social media and campaign management
  • possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable role with a solid grasp of contemporary marketing trends
  • enjoy collaborating with others and are a friendly, approachable contact for donors and volunteers
  • are enthusiastic about classical music and appreciate a wide range of genres from jazz to baroque
