We are a dynamic and innovative company, SharkNinja, looking for highly motivated Product Innovation Design Engineers to join our team.

As a Product Innovation Design Engineer at SharkNinja, you will have the opportunity to work on designing and developing new products that meet consumer needs and expectations. This role covers all aspects of product development from conceptualization to launch.

About The Role:

We are seeking Interns to help us create innovative products across various ranges. You will be responsible for working as part of our London Design Office, bringing fresh thinking and inspiration to our creative efforts to deliver credible solutions to populate our product road map.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop novel concepts and technologies for next-generation products.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to define elegant yet robust solutions to satisfy product functional requirements.
  • Collaborate on design studies to solve technical or consumer issues during product development.
  • Take direction on designs through conception, CAD execution, prototyping, and verification while maintaining pace.
  • Evaluate and improve designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturing improvements, increased quality, and value to consumers.
  • Gain an understanding and experience of high-volume manufacturing design constraints.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Product Design, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Passionate about product design with some exposure to CAD programs (ideally SolidWorks or Creo) and/or 3D printing/laser cutting.
  • Identify, solve, implement, and verify technical solutions either autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Hands-on prototype building and experimental testing in a workshop or science context.
  • Desirable: experience with Developer kits such as Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and flexibility, collaboration, positive attitude, and an inquisitive nature.
