Job Title: Mechanical Asset Improvement Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Asset Improvement Engineer to join our team at Tata Steel. As a key member of our Asset Improvement department, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and improving asset performance across our Shotton Works site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement asset improvement initiatives to enhance process lines and auxiliary plant performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the Annual Operating Plan and ensure Health and Safety targets are met
  • Manage major maintenance projects, including plant reliability critical repairs and infrastructure upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, legislation, and emissions limits
  • Liaise with user departments and functional managers to drive project success
  • Lead the deployment and installation of IoT technology to create online dashboards for information purposes
  • Develop and implement a new online monitoring system, including dashboard and system practices
Requirements:
  • Excellent team working and leadership skills
  • Industrial engineering experience and relevant qualifications (Degree level or higher)
  • Good awareness and leadership of health and safety in the workplace
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in managing a workforce and projects
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task
  • Computer literate with SAP experience an advantage
