Job Title: HR Administrator and Cover Co-ordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our HR department, including coordinating cover on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize staff cover and record relevant absences in our HR system.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Lead and Senior Leadership Team, including diary management and events organization.
  • Support the administration of pre-employment checks, including preparing paperwork for new starters and leavers.
  • Assist in the update and maintenance of employee records in our MIS personnel database.
  • Ensure that HR systems and documentation are maintained and updated, including the Single Central Record.
  • Support the administration of sickness absence and associated processes.
  • Organize interview days as required.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all HR matters.
  • Provide regular information to assist in the management of HR processes, including pay increments due and expiry of fixed-term contracts.
  • Assist in the administration of Occupational Health referrals.
  • Take notes and minutes of meetings as required.
  • Update and maintain employee records in our document store.
  • Support the administrative processes associated with advertising, selection, and appointment of staff.
  • Typing correspondence as requested by the HR Lead and Head of School.
  • Actively support continuing professional development.
  • General office duties, including photocopying, filing, and shredding of confidential waste.
Requirements:
  • Participate in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identifying learning, development, and training opportunities.
  • Comply with individual responsibilities for Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Ensure that all duties and services provided are in accordance with the School's Equal Opportunities policy.
