  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Setting Out and Surveying:
    • Establish precise engineering controls, including accurate setting out of flood defence walls, drainage systems, culverts, and earthworks.
    • Use modern surveying equipment to ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct on-site inspections to verify that all works adhere to strict quality standards and project specifications.
    • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and materials.
  3. Technical Support:
    • Interpret complex engineering drawings and ensure construction teams understand technical requirements.
    • Provide technical advice and resolve on-site issues to maintain project progress.
  4. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
    • Uphold rigorous HSE standards and promote a safe working environment.
    • Ensure all works comply with environmental guidelines specific to flood defence schemes.
  5. Coordination and Communication:
