Job Overview

Main Duties

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will operate a specialist Occupational Therapy only caseload within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).

You will be responsible for evidence-based occupational and employment assessments, producing reports to a high standard, highlighting how biological, sociological, and psychological factors interact to create obstacles to satisfactory occupational participation.

You will work alongside a Lead OT and an overall Professional Lead OT, with access to a full range of mandatory training and CPD opportunities, emphasizing the Model of Human Occupation.

Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPC), and experience working in mental health settings.

Desirable criteria include experience of working in community settings, supervising support staff, and knowledge of the Model of Human Occupation, AMPS Training, and Care Programme Approach Training.
