About The Role

Ashford College, part of the East Kent Colleges Group, is seeking a skilled Engineering Supply Lecturer to join their approved staffing list. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and machining experience and understanding to deliver to HNC and T Level students. The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programs and/or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3 and will be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study.

About You

The successful candidate will be highly organised, creative, and able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention, will be a vital part of the role, ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed. The role will involve teaching, training, and assessing students in their subject specialism(s), ensuring a high-quality learning experience, and providing support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential. The EKC Group offers flexible working throughout the week, where you can support students in a college environment, and the opportunity to work in other environments, including apprentice and adult training units. The salary for this role is £18 per hour worked, with the option to claim an additional half an hour for planning and admin. Please note that this is a temporary role, and any addition to the approved staffing list is not a guarantee of employment or hours of work. Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are complete, you will then be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work.
