Conservation Officer

Cumbria Wildlife Trust is offering a unique opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Horticulture Conservation Officer. This fixed-term contract for 20 months provides an exceptional chance to contribute to our conservation efforts and develop valuable skills in seed bank management and propagation nursery projects.
Responsibilities- The successful candidate will collaborate with our existing team and volunteers to identify new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
- They will also be involved in seed collection, cataloguing, and storage, as well as contributing to tree growing initiatives for Skiddaw Forest.
Applicants should have a strong background in horticulture, excellent communication skills, and experience working with volunteers. A self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn and grow with our team would be an excellent fit.
The salary for this role is estimated at approximately £26,200 per year, taking into account industry standards and location. If you share our passion for conservation and horticulture, we encourage you to apply.
