Chef de Partie Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade at a stylish and elegant hotel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a section in the kitchen and creating exceptional dishes that meet the highest standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead a section in the kitchen, creating dishes that meet the highest standards
* Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement new recipes and menu items
* Train and develop junior team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
* Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section, ensuring maximum utilization of food and resources
* Participate in food production, portioning meats, fish, vegetables, and desserts, and utilizing food surpluses to control food costs
* Communicate effectively with back-of-house personnel to maintain efficient food production
* Conduct daily food line inspections to ensure quality is maintained

**Requirements**

* NVQ levels 2 & 3 (or equivalent)
* Hotel or restaurant background
* Good understanding of food, hygiene, and safety
* Good verbal and written English
* Computer literate
