Language Empire requires freelance interpreters for various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

The role involves interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services. You will need to:

  • Interpret complex content from the source language to the target language with 100% accuracy
  • Ensure the non-English speaker understands the content after each sentence
  • Perform conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Deal with highly confidential information
  • Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements include:

  • Fluent English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
