Year 2 Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Ealing. As a proactive and emotionally intelligent educator, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the KS1 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

  • Our 4-form entry school is located in a lovely residential area of Ealing.
  • We welcome early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms and offer a friendly environment that fosters academic excellence and well-rounded, confident pupils.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Ealing via public transport.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.
