About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to work on In Service Support Projects / Spares, reporting directly to the ISS Delivery Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing design improvement/obsolescence activities, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the product is delivered to specification.
Key Responsibilities- Manage design improvement/obsolescence activities and provide technical guidance to engineering resources.
- Define the content of standard project documentation, including technical, operation, and maintenance manuals.
- Report on the technical content of the project to the ISS Technical Manager and ISS Project Managers.
- Identify technical risks and work on strategies for risk management.
- Provide technical support for customer communications during project delivery.
- Track activities to project plans and budgets, regularly reporting to the ISS Delivery Manager, ISS Technical Manager, and ISS Project Managers.
- Raise purchase requisitions for project materials.
- Provide technical support for procurement, production, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with the Production team, lead issue resolution, and report progress to the ISS Technical Manager and ISS Project Managers.
- Support engineering design as required by the project.
- Lead testing and commissioning of equipment, working with Test Technicians and Commissioning Engineers.
- Ensure project activities are delivered as defined by the project manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- HND or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering or a related subject.
- Experience of working in a Mechanical / Systems engineering environment.
- Experience of working on multiple projects.
- Practical competence in mechanical / systems assembly.
