We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at BaxterStorey. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our customers, while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Employee Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure excellent performance.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies in a cost-effective manner, and ensuring that kitchen budgets are managed effectively.
- Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety regulations and food safety protocols are adhered to, creating a safe and healthy working environment.
- Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage kitchen budgets, reporting on financial performance, and implementing cost-saving initiatives to maintain profitability.
- Menu Development and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menus, ensuring that our offerings remain fresh and exciting.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
- Excellent creative culinary skills, with the ability to develop and implement menus that meet customer needs.
- Leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team of chefs and front-of-house staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in food cost management, with the ability to manage kitchen budgets effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in the kitchen.
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
