Job Title: Crime Management Bureau Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crime Management Bureau Supervisor to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective supervision of professional bodies and the prevention of financial crime.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading and supporting relationships with professional bodies, including planning and running supervisory visits, analysing findings, and making judgements about the effectiveness of their anti-money laundering supervision. You will also support other members of the team, participate in professional body visits, and engage proactively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with professional bodies, including planning and running supervisory visits
  • Analyse findings and make judgements about the effectiveness of anti-money laundering supervision
  • Support other members of the team, including participating in professional body visits and proactive engagement
  • Critically assess and evaluate information to form judgements about progress against anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing standards
  • Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What You Will Get From the Role
  • This is an opportunity to be part of a globally unique team driving up standards of anti-money laundering supervision among professional bodies in the UK
  • The role will provide a unique opportunity to develop expertise in combating economic crime
Benefits

We offer a competitive flexible benefits scheme, which gives you the opportunity to create a personalised benefits package, tailored to suit your lifecycle. You can use this allowance to purchase additional benefits such as dental or cycle to work, or you have the option to top up your base salary by taking this as cash.

Our core benefits include:

  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays
  • Private healthcare with Bupa
  • A non-contributory Pension of at least 8% of basic salary each month
  • Life assurance of eight times your basic salary
  • Income protection
Flexible Working

We welcome applications from candidates who are looking for flexible arrangements. Many of our staff work flexibly, including working part-time, staggered hours, and job shares. This means that as part of the application process, you will be able to select your preference of which office location you would like to work from.

We support hybrid working, which means you will be able to work from home up to 60% of the time over a month, with the remainder of your time in one of our three office locations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of stakeholder management in order to build and maintain professional working relationships internally and externally
  • Experience in a supervisory or financial-crime related role, legal, accounting or insolvency background, or experience of the sectors being regulated
  • Experience of using analytical skills to make judgements and recommendations

You will also need to demonstrate good sense of judgement and personal accountability, ability to apply a risk-based approach to supervision, and good communication skills.

We are committed to achieving greater diversity across all levels of the organisation and welcome applications from women, disabled and minority ethnic candidates for this role.
