Allen Lane is a leading provider of innovative learning solutions, and we are seeking a skilled E-Learning Platform Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional to coordinate the administration of our e-learning platform, ensuring seamless user experiences and efficient course management.

Responsibilities:

  • User Management: Manage and maintain the user database, overseeing the transition to automation of user enrolments in partnership with our HR applications support team.
  • Course Administration: Maintain all supporting documents and resources relating courses within the LMS, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Provide timely, easy-to-read reports for stakeholder groups, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure that all course materials and activities are up-to-date and functioning correctly, resolving any issues promptly.
  • User Support: Manage users, groups, and cohorts to ensure the right people have access to the right course and have the necessary permissions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Support course owners in building and managing their courses, advising on appropriate settings, activities, and resources to create engaging learning environments.
  • Issue Resolution: Monitor and record LMS issues reported to the L&D Team and escalate through the appropriate channels.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Technical Skills:

  • A robust understanding of Moodle (or similar) as a virtual learning environment, including setting up and managing courses, categories, user enrolments, and permissions.
  • Good knowledge of the range, use, and setup of activities available to make courses interactive.
  • Prior experience of setting up user permissions, activities, and embedding resources into online courses.
  • Strong grammatical skills to create, edit, and proof-read content, with attention to detail and the ability to spot errors.

You should possess:

Excellent Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to a wide range of people.

Proactivity and Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and organisational objectives, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Experience: Prior experience in the field of learning technology, specifically in the administration of a Moodle virtual learning environment or similar.

Salary: £26,545-£29,339 per annum.

Benefits: As an employee of Allen Lane, you will be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including 17.5% pension contributions.
