Quantity Surveyor Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, independent firm providing a range of construction services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-end new-build and refurbishment projects across the Private and Public Sectors in Kent and the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the financial aspects of projects, including cost estimating, planning, tendering, contract, and cost management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Measuring and estimating, production of cost estimates, cost reporting, preparation of monthly valuations, attending progress meetings, and working with wider project teams.
  • Contract management, managing the tender process, risk management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • Quantity Surveying or related Degree.
  • Membership of or be working towards MRICS, MCIOB, or similar.
  • Experience of working within a consultancy or for a main contractor.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent analytical, communication, and computing skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team, accepting instructions from others, but also able to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent Excel skills and a driving licence.
