Yard Worker

About the Job:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Worker to join our team at Petrie Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our yard and warehouse.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Must have heavy plant machinery experience (FLT, Telehandler, Excavator, Overhead crane)
• Proven material handling skills
• Ability to work alone and within a team environment
• Previous experience in a warehouse or yard setting is desirable
• Physical fitness to withstand all weather conditions

Responsibilities:

• Loading finished materials safely onto vehicles for onward shipment to customers
• Unloading, sorting, and preparing materials for onward processing
• Maintaining high levels of hygiene and housekeeping standards throughout the yard
• Operate mobile plant equipment including FLT's, Telehandler, Excavator, Overhead crane etc.
• E nsuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to for plant machinery

Salary and Benefits:

This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £12,900 per annum, paid weekly. Other benefits include opportunities for career progression and professional development.
