We're committed to delivering a community-based approach to supporting families, focusing on keeping them together through a restorative practice model. Our Family Practitioners play a key role in this approach, working closely with social workers to support children in need, those on child protection plans, and those in care.

As a Family Practitioner, you'll be responsible for leading early help assessments and plans, contributing to parenting assessments, and supporting mediation, crisis prevention, and conflict resolution. You'll also be involved in Life Story Work and ensuring accurate documentation, reports, and records are completed.

You'll need to be flexible with working hours, including occasional evening work and one weekend in every seven. A current UK driving licence and vehicle are also essential.

Our values are at the heart of our People Strategy, focusing on community spirit, supporting employees to achieve their full potential, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We're an equal opportunities organisation and Disability Confident employer, encouraging applications from all backgrounds and communities. As part of our commitment to supporting care leavers, we offer a guaranteed interview as long as your application meets the minimum criteria for the post.

This role is subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service, and we're committed to creating a supportive working environment where employees can thrive.
