About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding Adults Officer to join our team at North Somerset Council. As a key member of our safeguarding adults service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults in our community.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in safeguarding adults work, with experience of coordinating responses to safeguarding concerns. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team, communicate complex information to stakeholders, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the local authority response to safeguarding adults concerns, including making S.42(1) decisions and undertaking S.42(2) safeguarding adults enquiries.
  • Work closely with colleagues and partners to ensure effective safeguarding practices and procedures are in place.
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on safeguarding adults issues.
