Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of the Role Equipment Team at RNAS Yeovilton, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance and inspections on mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of helicopter maintenance operations and supply chain processes. Morson Technical Services are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical biased engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of BTEC level 2 in an aviation related subject or have completed a recognised aircraft engineering training followed by relevant experience. You will also require knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain and technical support processes.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a valued member of the team, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including a competitive pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting maintenance and inspections on mechanical equipment
- Assisting the RE Supervisor in delivering equipment configuration control, support, training and maintenance functions
- Maintaining compliancy with accounting transaction principles and regulations
- Assisting with the management of repairable assets through workshops / supply chain
Requirements:
- Educated to a minimum of BTEC level 2 in an aviation related subject or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain and technical support processes
- Strong understanding of the military helicopter operating environment and command structure
- Self-motivated and able to work within teams
