Job Title: Duty Manager - Hotel Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Park Grand Hotels. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth daily operation of the hotel, including managing and supervising departmental managers and staff members.
  • Guarantee optimum guest relations, ensuring that all guests receive a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain the security and safety of the hotel, including ensuring that all security protocols are in place.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including departmental managers and team members.
  • Attend necessary meetings and conduct meetings with the team to ensure that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Check standards of services, cleanliness, and ensure that all guests are greeted and assisted in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Constantly strive to please all guests that you may come into contact with, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that employees project professionalism and are well-trained, providing friendly and efficient service to all guests.
  • Ensure that corporate, divisional, and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all levels.
  • Liaise closely with other departments, emphasizing excellent inter-departmental relations and considering other departmental procedures and policies.
  • Delegate authority and responsibilities to direct subordinates without relinquishing ultimate responsibility for the operation.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, dealing with multiple data sources is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to work closely with team members and managers, and effectively manage problems as they occur.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: ability to communicate well at different levels, provide guidance, offer explanation, and prepare briefs.
  • Organization and time management: managing the daily activities and needs of an entire team requires an excellent ability to multitask and effectively manage your time.
  • Positive attitude: generally, a positive outlook makes it easier to handle the stress of unexpected challenges and helps the entire team stay positive and motivated.
  • Knowledge of Opera.
  • Experience in managing a team at a supervisory or managerial level.
  • Previous experience in a 5* environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of using Fourth and Harri preferred.
