About the Role:

This is a critical position for the PayPoint Group as the successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing user experience across all PayPoint Group websites, ensuring they attract, retain, and grow each brand's target audience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Discovery:
    • Working closely with the Product and Data Analysis teams, gain actionable insight from a wide variety of data sources such as Google Analytics, Hot Jar, Power BI reports, Surveys, Polls, Trust Pilot reviews, and CX metrics.
    • Lead on persona creation, customer experience mapping, objective setting, task creation, user interviews, and lab sessions (both remote/local and moderated/unmoderated) to gain real insight into customers' views and feelings, then distil this into video highlights and a results matrix to help clarify and prioritize customer issues and business challenges.
  • Strategy - Design Sprints:
    • Help facilitate Design Sprints, including leading workshops and group activities to encourage design thinking, divergence, and convergence on solutions and product value proposition in collaboration with senior stakeholders and SMEs across the business.
  • Ideate - Workflows and Wireframes:
    • Translate all inputs from the Discovery and Strategy stages into how-might-we opportunities along with user stories and workflows, culminating in information architecture, content maps, and wireframes.
  • Ideate - Prototype:
    • Build prototypes of end-to-end journeys on websites/apps across all devices and screen sizes, including detailed user interactions using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and UX Pin.
  • Build - Develop:
    • Collaborate with the development and test teams in an Agile framework following a Scrum/Kanban methodology, creating detailed user stories, specs, tickets, and assets, following this through to User Acceptance Testing and subsequent Production Testing with close monitoring soon after launch.
  • Content Management:
    • Manage on-going maintenance and evolution of Design Systems across our channels in conjunction with marketing, development, and wider business teams.

Requirements:

  • Commercial UX Design experience working with Product Teams in an Agile/Lean development environment.
  • User research - user interviews and lab sessions (both remote/local and moderated/unmoderated) along with detailed analysis and prioritization of findings that translate into clear presentations for wider stakeholders.
  • Experienced in leading new and innovative ways of working, including managing Design Sprint workshops, championing design thinking, and innovating across a model similar to the Lean Sprint model.
  • Managing full UX lifecycles on projects for eCommerce across desktop, mobile, and apps is essential.
  • Good understanding of different frameworks for front-end and back-end web systems along with a deep knowledge of hybrid and native app specifics.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first, responsive design, and app design.
  • A solid grasp of user-centred design, planning, and conducting Conversion Rate Optimization Programs, including A/B testing, along with heuristic analysis, including usability/accessibility concerns.
