Activities Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at The Avalon Centre. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and supportive environment for our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging social and recreational activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our service users.
- Build strong relationships with service users, understanding their individual needs and preferences to create tailored activity plans.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of activities and support services.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the health, safety, and security of service users, staff, and visitors.
- Document observations, progress, and activity plans in service users' clinical notes.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience in a mental health setting (desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based framework.
- Initiative, motivation, and a solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Awareness of mental health and its impact on functioning.
What We Offer
- Annual salary of £23,692.50 to £24,500.
