About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at Cats Protection. As a key member of our retail operation, you will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager to maximise shop income and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Shop Manager in the safe day-to-day operational management of shop activity and key performance indicators.
  2. Act as a brand ambassador for Cats Protection, embodying the values and behaviours of the Charity.
  3. Take responsibility for the shop operation in the absence of the Shop Manager.
About Our Retail Team

Our retail operation consists of over 80 charity shops across the UK, with a team of passionate and dedicated employees and volunteers working together to make a difference for cats and their owners.

What We're Looking For
  1. Demonstrable learning and experience from working in a relevant retail environment.
  2. Experience and/or understanding of working to sales targets.
  3. Experience of cash reconciliation and financial controls.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
