Are you a skilled cost control professional looking for a new challenge in the construction industry? A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join their team in Milton Keynes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a national leading consultancy, providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget. As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.

You will also collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering. If you have main contractor or consultancy experience and are comfortable working at pace on fast turnaround projects, this could be the perfect role for you.

Job Description:
  • Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment, and have a strong understanding of cost management principles and practices.

Requirements:
  • Main contractor or consultancy experience.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £40,000 and £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, 6% pension, all expenses covered for work purposes, hybrid working, private health insurance, and open plan office facilities.
