About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Operative to join our team at Avara Foods.
What can we offer you?
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.00-£12.50, paid weekly, with additional £2.00 UNS for hours worked between 18:00 and 06:00
- A minimum guaranteed weekly earnings of £414 for a 3-day 4o4o or £480 for Monday to Friday
- A referral scheme, earning £250 for each friend or family member you refer for a job with us
- Training and development opportunities from day one, secure contract, guaranteed hours, and opportunities for overtime
- Subsidised staff canteen and free on-site parking
Working Hours:
Our Logistics team operates on a 4o4o rotating days and nights schedule, with shifts from 06:00 to 18:00, 18:00 to 06:30, and 12:00 to 21:00, Monday to Friday.
About the Job:
As a Logistics Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and to the same high quality they expect. You will have the opportunity to train and develop through our clear progression pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scanning, wrapping, and palletising products
- Performing final quality checks on products
- Using electric pallet trucks, counterbalance, and reach vehicles
- Recording and rotating chilled food products
- Ensuring paperwork and delivery orders are completed and recorded
Requirements:
- FLT Licences (Counterbalance or Reach Truck etc.) are desirable but not essential
- The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
