Established in 1986, Gwynedd Forklifts is a leading provider of material handling and powered access solutions in the North Wales region. We are seeking an experienced Field Forklift Engineer to join our team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for attending customer locations to assess and agree on work priorities, ensuring safe working practices and providing clarity on expected timescales and costs. They will also identify the root cause of breakdowns, ensure correct parts are obtained, and carry out inspection/checks on their work. Additionally, they will identify further work required on machines, complete related job documentation, and maximise potential revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attending customer locations to determine work scope and priorities
  • Liaising with controller and customer on expected work, timescales, and costs
  • Identifying root causes of breakdowns and obtaining correct parts
  • Ensuring safe working practices and compliance with engineering standards
  • Carrying out inspections and checks on own work
  • Identifying further work required on machines and completing related documentation

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical qualification
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Able to manage and prioritise workload
