Compliance Officer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Dudley. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our firm's compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our compliance policies and procedures.
  • Support the business with queries and build relationships with colleagues to promote compliance.
  • Evaluate and escalate issues and concerns to the wider Professional Regulation and Standards team.
  • Prepare training materials and updates to promote compliance and risk awareness.
  • Assist with accreditations and maintain clear and accurate records to evidence risk mitigation.
  • Support with general administration, including preparation of agenda and information packs.
  • Develop an understanding of and keep up to date with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to compliance in our business.
  • Maintain confidentiality in respect of our business and clients at all times.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in Compliance in a Law firm.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-drafted communications and documents.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and be flexible and work to tight deadlines.
  • Well-developed team working skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, and High Q.
  • Some knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements applying to professional services businesses.
