About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant at a vibrant school in the heart of the Forest of Dean. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual who can provide support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with behavioral management and de-escalation techniques to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistency and continuity of support.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students with complex needs.
