About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to build and grow our local community in Birmingham, working closely with artists, hosts, crew, A/V, photographers, and like-minded organizations.

You'll be responsible for planning, organizing, and promoting Sofar shows in your city, ensuring a high-quality experience for everyone involved. As you grow the local Sofar community, your role will evolve, and you'll start working more closely with our regional concerts and marketing teams to take the city to the next level.

Sofar has a proven track record of supporting emerging artists, engaging with millions online each month, and hosting over 1,000,000 fans at shows around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a local leader to ensure exceptional experiences at every Sofar show, prioritizing audience, artist, host, crew, A/V, and photographer satisfaction.
  • Discover and book new, talented artists to support their development through Sofar.
  • Foster relationships with local hosts and venues to create unique experiences.
  • Manage a team of crew members to produce Sofar shows, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Promote shows to fill rooms, leveraging your network and creative skills.
  • Cultivate partnerships with local organizations sharing our ethos, supporting diverse grassroots communities.
  • Organize community events, such as socials, networking events, panels, and jam nights, to connect, support, and represent the community in your city.
  • Oversee local gear and event supplies inventory, attending additional shows as needed.

We Offer

Competitive salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience), reflecting the importance of this role in growing our local community.
