Plastic Injection Moulding Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Setter to join our team at ASC Connections Ltd, a leading global business with a rich history spanning over 70 years. Our company has a diverse product portfolio featuring some of the world's most recognizable brands.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Setter to ensure the smooth operation of our production lines, participate in the setup and development of new production lines, and contribute to the growth of our UK operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure machine and automation equipment are running at optimal levels.
- Conduct inspections of parts and sampling in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and quality requirements.
- Configure machines, sometimes from scratch, to meet production needs.
- Load and unload mould tools efficiently, safely, and in a timely manner to meet production requirements and obtain first-off samples.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Assist in the setup of new machinery and development of processes.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Setter or Technician in a plastics manufacturing environment, specifically in injection moulding, blow moulding, or plastic extrusion.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot moulding/processing issues, often requiring creative problem-solving.
- Experience in setting up/installing new machinery.
