Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year

Job Description

This role involves providing personal care to children, including toileting/diaper changing, administering medication, monitoring dietary needs and medical conditions in a group setting of up to 15 children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with children, ensuring their supervision and safety in a group environment.
  • Create an inclusive environment, supporting the needs of all children, including those with exceptional behaviors and additional needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date immunizations or equivalent in accordance with local public health regulations.
  • Meet availability requirements, including minimum 2 full days per week (6:30am-6pm) or 2 mornings and 2 afternoons.
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with children and providing quality play-based learning.
  • Develop strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with families, staff, and volunteers.
  • Work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily, in various weather conditions.
  • Be a Registered Early Childhood Educator, registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), or be willing to obtain registration.
