The Volunteer Centre Harlow is looking for volunteers to support vulnerable members of our society who are being discharged from hospital.

We provide simple, practical support to isolated individuals, easing their worries about being discharged and assisting them in the transition back to their homes.

Our team visits these individuals for 6 weeks, providing a cheerful, sympathetic presence over a cup of tea and assisting with tasks such as sorting out transport.

We also signpost them to charities or social groups in their area, making sure they are not at risk of isolation or re-injury.

This role is ideal for those who want to give back to their community and make a difference in the lives of others.

No specific skills or experience are required, as all necessary training will be provided.

You will have no involvement in personal or medical care and may volunteer the hours that suit you.
