Job Title: Day-to-Day Supply Teacher Opportunity

Location: Bournemouth and Christchurch area

Salary: £120-£150 dependent on experience

Start Date: Immediate start

GSL Education is currently supporting local primary schools with their supply teacher recruitment. Day-to-day supply teaching is an excellent way to gain experience in various schools within the local area and put your teaching skills into practice while maintaining a good work-life balance. This is possible due to the flexible nature of the role, where you can choose which days you are available to work.

This role is particularly beneficial for ECTs who are looking to develop a greater knowledge and understanding of the local primary schools, or teachers who have taught for a while but now seek more flexibility within their role. Similarly, for experienced teachers new to the area, it's a great way to learn more about local schools ahead of any permanent roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing high-quality teaching using pre-made plans, ensuring the children's learning is not disrupted in the absence of their normal class teacher
  2. Being prepared to cover a range of subjects and year groups, from Reception to Year 6
  3. Working alongside support staff to provide a safe and secure environment for pupils to learn
  4. Following the school's behaviour policy, adopting their strategies to ensure effective continuity

Requirements:

To work with GSL Education as a Day-to-Day Supply Teacher, you should:

  • Hold a PGCE /QTS
  • Be confident within your behaviour management skills and be able to adapt to different school's behaviour policies
  • Be prepared to cover a range of subjects including your subject specialism
