Housing Officer Role

At Caridon Group, we are seeking a skilled Housing Officer to join our team. As a key member of our housing services team, you will be responsible for managing a designated patch of properties within apartment blocks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing void properties and ensuring they are re-let within set time frames.
  • Assessing new housing applicants and conducting viewings and sign-ups.
  • Completing new tenancy visits and effectively managing tenancy breaches, including anti-social behaviour.
  • Maintaining good relationships with partner organisations and agents.
  • Completing referrals to external agencies and conducting property inspections.

Requirements:

  • Confident with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Ability to deal with challenging situations and good knowledge of tenancies.
  • Experience in residential lettings and a can-do attitude to problem-solving.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in social housing.
  • Chartered Institute of Housing qualification.
  • Good knowledge of Safeguarding.
