Childrens Theatres – Operating Department Practitioner Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Joint Advisory Group Lead to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
About the Role: As a Nurse Joint Advisory Group Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the unit maintains its quality and standards expected requirements for JAG and its future accreditation status. You will work closely with other team members to maintain all the JAG evidence to the required JAG standards, including management of audits, guidelines, SOPs, patient leaflets, and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for submitting the necessary information by the appropriate timeframes.
- Work closely with the JAG Leads from Queens Day Unit and Weston General Hospital Endoscopy service.
- Provide an expert level of professional practice within nursing (specialty).
- Manage a nursing team, providing advice, information, and support.
- Support the Clinical Theatre Manager and assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the unit.
- Deputise in the absence of the Clinical Theatre Manager.
- Assume responsibility for undertaking tasks delegated by the Clinical Theatre Manager, including mentoring roles, auditing, and clinical governance.
- Appraise staff and participate in systematic monitoring of performance and evaluation of nursing practice.
- Liaise with other Trust departments regarding their services.
