Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team in Birmingham or Derby. As a key member of our Project Delivery Practice, you will be responsible for delivering major multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to construction.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver projects to agreed targets, including programme, budget, and quality.
  • Identify and agree project objectives, and develop strategies for achieving them.
  • Manage potential contractual and commercial risks.
  • Lead the project team, building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding, and developing the team.
  • Facilitate communication, coordination, and information flow with clients and within the project team.
  • Agree commercial trading arrangements and communication plans for working with other teams.
  • Assemble and own the project delivery programme and delivery plans.
  • Protect the commercial interests of AtkinsRéalis, including timely and accurate invoicing and effective credit control.
  • Closing out the project on completion, archiving project documentation, updating market information, capturing lessons learned, and initiating client satisfaction surveys.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer/Architect or equivalent, with demonstrable experience managing design build and/or operate commissions on large infrastructure projects.
  • Market sector experience across Water Infrastructure, Rail, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Urban Development projects.
  • A hard-working and flexible individual who is a team player, possesses great attention to detail, is reliable, proactive, and shows initiative while able to keep cool under pressure and when working to often demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team and demonstrate good leadership qualities.
  • Understands and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contracts, particularly NEC3 or 4.
  • Experience of managing design projects to time, cost, and quality objectives and familiar with programming and earned value techniques.
  • Familiar with BIM and has an understanding of 3D modeling tools for design and coordination purposes.
  • Customer-focused with excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Available to travel across the UK and work away from home if required.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
