Nourishment Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Nourishment Specialist. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our children through the provision of nutritious and balanced meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement healthy eating plans for our children
• Source and prepare nutritious food for our nursery menus
• Collaborate with our childcare team to ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
• Manage our food budget to ensure cost efficiencies
• Provide training and support to our staff on food safety and nutrition

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS check
• Food Hygiene level 2 or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP and COSHH requirements
• Experience in catering for large numbers
• Great budget knowledge and management skills
• Excellent listening and communication skills
