About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Driver Technician to join our team at Sunbelt Rentals Careers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for delivering and collecting equipment to customers, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.

As a Driver Technician, you will be the face of Sunbelt Rentals to our customers, promoting our positive image and providing excellent customer service. You will travel regularly to different locations, demonstrating technical equipment to customers and maintaining effective relationships with the operations team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and collecting equipment to customers, completing relevant checks and administration tasks.
  • Ensuring company vehicles are driven safely and professionally, conducting vehicle safety checks.
  • Issuing safety and communication equipment to clients onsite.
  • Demonstrating safety equipment in operation to customers during delivery.
  • Diagnosing and fixing equipment as needed.
  • Adhering to health and safety policies, promoting compliance with equipment standards.
  • Maintaining relationships with the operations team, undertaking pre-hire checks and functionality tests.
  • Raising the Sunbelt Rentals profile and reputation through professional attitude.
  • Completing administrative tasks, adhering to company standards.
  • Achieving key performance indicators in a fast-changing environment.
  • Working under pressure, ensuring safe practices while maintaining company standards.
  • Promoting Sunbelt Rentals services and benefits to clients, increasing revenue.
  • Resolving customer issues promptly, working with operations to resolve concerns.
  • Conducting audit and compliance tasks.

About You:

We are looking for a skilled driver with a clean driving license, ideally holding a C1E license or equivalent. You should have good communication skills, influencing abilities, and a flexible approach to your working hours. Experience in safety and communication is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

We provide a competitive salary of £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
