Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Support Specialist to join our team at Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd. As a Trade Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our exchange clearing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clearing and Reconciliation: Perform day-to-day clearing and exchange reconciliation tasks, including troubleshooting and break resolution.
  • Trader Onboarding: Assist with trader/market/trading platform on- and offboarding.
  • Trade Lifecycle Management: Ensure trades are booked in a timely manner and reflected in our ETRM systems accurately.
  • Margin Management: Manage trade lifecycle related events and perform daily margin related tasks.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform ad-hoc tasks and project work as required.
  • Process Improvement: Document and maintain documentation of exchange clearing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with commercial teams, exchanges, and clearing brokers to optimize trading costs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in commodities – European Power and Gas, LNG, Crude Oil and Refined products – or exchange clearing.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including Excel, VBA, formulas, and lookups, pivot tables.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and drive to understand the bigger picture.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
