What We're Looking For

We're seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our 2025 Summer Placement Programme. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with our global Quantitative Analytics team, supporting trading, commercial, and project activities and studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the energy commodity market
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of quantitative models and back test their performance
  • Support market-based valuations of physical assets and structured deals
  • Develop and recommend profitable trading / hedging strategies
  • Document key results and assumptions
Requirements
  • Be in the penultimate or final year of your Masters or PhD studies in Mathematical Finance, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, or similar subject
  • Have a strong understanding of option theory, particularly stochastic calculus and option Greeks
  • Be familiar with financial engineering techniques, such as Monte Carlo simulation and dynamic programming
  • Be fluent in a programming language such as Python or Excel-VBA
  • Be seeking to gain work experience on an 8-week paid Summer Placement, commencing in July 2025
