About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Software Engineer to join our team at Technical Futures Ltd. As a Research Software Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking software security research and development of high-end security, blockchain, and program analysis research.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct software security research and development of high-end security, blockchain, and program analysis research.
  2. Review complex, high-assurance smart contract code and apply engineering skills to build custom tools to rapidly assess, explore, or secure the code.
  3. Advise clients on risk to their financial systems and help solve hard security problems.
  4. Continually enhance your skills in both personal and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of Master's Degree with 2+ years commercial programming experience or a PhD in Mathematics or Computing gained from a top-tier University.
  2. Working knowledge of Compilers, Cryptography, Blockchain, and/or Algorithms.
  3. Highly beneficial to bring experience of zero-knowledge proofs.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages to include Go and Rust, Solidity, and some C++ or Python.
  5. Experience with low-level software either as an engineer or researcher.
  6. Solid understanding of mathematical models particularly for financial instruments.
  7. A background in or a regular user of programming language theory.
