Job Title: Senior Editor - Food and Travel Magazine
About Us: Green Pea Publishing is a leading player in the food and travel publishing industry.
The Role: We are seeking an experienced senior editor to join our team and take on the challenge of editing our award-winning food and travel magazine.
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning and editing original content, playing a key role in planning and developing major themes for forthcoming issues, and ensuring high editorial standards are maintained and improved.
Team Management: As a senior editor, you will also be responsible for managing a small team, scheduling work appropriately, and ensuring deadlines are met and within budget.
International Collaboration: The international editions of our magazine draw on content generated in the UK, so you will liaise with and communicate forward plans to other editors and ensure that their titles are in line with the editorial standards of the UK edition.
Representing the Brand: You will represent the title at industry events and shows, in the UK and overseas, and at meetings with key clients when required.
Essential Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong editing, commissioning, and writing skills, as well as a good working knowledge of InDesign, a strong eye for detail, and excellent organisational and communication skills.
Desirable Requirements: It is desirable to have a passion for quality travel and authentic food, as well as digital expertise in SEO, social media, and CMS.
