About the Role

Concurrent Technologies is seeking an experienced Embedded System Software Developer to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the delivery of BIOS, BSPs, and additional software for our new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software in the UFEI BIOS.
  • Develop Board Support Packages for cutting-edge Intel processor-based boards.
  • Write middleware, system, and device driver software for Linux, Windows, VxWorks, and other standard operating systems.
  • Test software and identify and fix bugs.
  • Support the definition of product and software architecture.
  • Participate in early hardware bring-up and debugging.
  • Collaborate with project managers to coordinate deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Embedded C programming for x86, PowerPC, or high-performance ARM processors.
  • Experience programming various hardware devices at the register level.
  • Good understanding of hardware principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively with team members.

Desirable:

  • Experience developing UFEI BIOS.
  • Experience developing low-level, embedded software for Linux or a similar operating system.
