Job Description

The Senior Programme Manager role is a key addition to the Project Delivery team, supporting new business across Europe. This may involve programmes such as new site builds, automation, and technology implementation.

  1. Develop and execute logistics projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  2. Mentor the PMO team to implement projects in line with project governance, promoting best practices and methodologies.
  3. Implement effective project governance and delivery methodologies, driving project success.
  4. Support planning, development, testing, and implementation of new business initiatives, ensuring project success.
  5. Collaborate with the Project team to identify and resolve issues and risks impacting project completion.
  6. Manage resource planning to support business growth.
  7. Monitor productivity and performance of the logistics distribution and supply chain department.
  8. Lead and direct cross-functional project teams, driving project delivery.
  9. Develop and control the full project lifecycle, ensuring project success.
  10. Manage project budgets, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  11. Communicate project status and deliverables to senior management.
  12. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Programme Manager should possess:

  1. Flexibility to travel within the UK and across Europe.
  2. A degree in a relevant field, such as Business or Logistics.
  3. Proven experience in managing large-scale logistics projects, including start-ups, onboarding large customers, automation, and infrastructure changes.
  4. Leadership expertise in a large PMO.
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  6. Strong knowledge of the logistics distribution and supply chain industry.
